The Eligibilty:
- To be eligible to apply for this scholarship a student must show an expressed
interest in the Italian culture.
- The recipient must be a registered full-time High School Senior who has been
accepted to an accredited College or University.
- Student must attend a High School full time for the academic year of their
application and they must maintain an average of 90% scholastic in order to apply
for the C.I.A.O. scholarship.
- All selections are final and will be made by an educational committee consisting
of representatives from many various fields of education and with a majority
vote from this committee including the active President & Director.
- Academic standing, citizenship, and community service are the major criteria by
which the applicant will be judged.
- A student is not eligible to receive this award more than once. This scholarship
is a one-time award and proceeds are payable directly to the student’s college or
university on behalf of the recipient.
- A student attending a college where there is no tuition charged, i.e., military
academy or those who have won a full tuition scholarship to a college or
university is not eligible for this award.
