| Lo scopo principale della C.I.A.O. e' di promuovere la conoscenza di, e l'interesse per la lingua, la cultura, e la storia, italiana ai nostri bambini. |
Our common goals, objectives and passions about our great Italian heritage must become a force to pursue our
mission, “our children”. All emigrants who have left Italy and settled in the USA, specifically, the New York area,
understand that "our children are our future".™
Our great Italian language, heritage and culture cannot possibly survive beyond our generation UNLESS “we”,
those who truly share the beliefs that "our children are our future".™ continue to press the message
forward not only in WORDS but with ACTION!
Our mission is like the moth which eventually spreads its wings as a butterfly for all to admire. This mission is
our tri-color butterfly that all of us aspire to hand down to our future generations before it disappears forever.
It is worth repeating, "our children are our future".™
We founded our organization to promote not only our Calabrian Heritage & Culture but ALL of our great Italian
Heritage & Culture. We have surrounded ourselves with a multi-cultural representation from all parts of Italy.
Our common thread among our various regions of interest is that we share the same common goals. We utilize
music as ONE of the many ways to peak the interests of “our children” about our great Italian Heritage and
Culture. It is not as if this has not been done before and C.I.A.O.’s mission is not ambiguous. Our mission has
only one purpose – “our children”.
We need to reach students from the grass roots level on up. We need to reach out not only in Washington D.C.
and NYC. We need to reach out to Italian’s, first generation and beyond, in Long Island, New Jersey,
Westchester County and the thousands in the “forgotten” areas of Putnam, Dutchess, Orange, Ulster and
Sullivan counties. As we spread our mission outward, we have spoken to many clubs, organizations and
associations in these areas and the message is always the same from them. They feel that they are the
“forgotten souls” from official representation. Organizations such as C.I.A.O.’s, are a welcomed gift which
spurs on hope that our heritage will continue.
We need to reach out to all those immigrants with children and grandchildren who are losing their Heritage and
Culture. We need to reach out to the students of the Italian language so we can enhance their studies of our
Heritage, Culture, Traditions and Customs by bringing it all to them in a personal way. In this manner, we do not
leave anyone out who cannot attend the many glamorous functions (at times necessary) which are offered by
many other entities during the course of a year in our area. In a small but very important manner, “we” become
the roots that will never be severed and ensure that our Heritage will not perish.
With ALL of your support we can work together on projects that specifically gear our efforts directly to
"our children are our future".™

I nostri comuni scopi,obbiettivi e passioni circa il nostro retaggio culturale deve diventare una forza per spingere
la nostra missione ,"i nostri figli".Gli emigranti che hanno lasciato l'Italia e che si sono stabiliti negli USA,e in
particolare nell'area di New York,sanno che " i nostri figli sono il nostro futuro ".
La nostra lingua italiana, il nostro retaggio e la nostra cultura non potranno sopravvivere piu' di una
generazione. A MENO CHE "noi",che veramente crediamo " i nostri figli sono il nostro futuro ", continuiamo a
mandare il messaggio avanti non con le parole ma con i fatti.
La nostra missione e' come la falena che finalmente apre le ali da farfalla per essere ammirata da tutti. Questa
missione e' la nostra farfalla tricolore che tutti noi aspiriamo di trasmetterla alle nostre generazioni future prima
che potra' sparire per sempre.Ripetiamo sempre:" i nostri figli sono il nostro futuro ".

nostra grande cultura e il nostro retaggio italiano.Siamo in contatto e circondati da rappresentaze multiculturali da
ogni parte d'Italia.Il nostro comune obbiettivo di interesse presso le varie regioni e' il raggiungimento della
promozione culturale.Noi utilizziamo la musica come UNA di tante vie di stimolare l'interesse dei nostri figli per il
nostro grande retaggio e cultura.Non e' che non sia stato promosso e tentato prima,ma la missione di C.I.A.O. non
e' equivoca.La nostra missione ha solo uno scopo:" I NOSTRI FIGLI ".
E' necessario che raggiungiamo studenti dalle scuole materne e oltre.E' necessario che raggiungiamo non solo
l'area di Washington o New York.E' necessario che raggiungiamo gli italiani,dalla prima generazione ed oltre,in

rappresentanze pubbliche. Organizzazioni come C.I.A.O. sono regali benvenuti che spronano la speranza che il
nostro retaggio continuera' a vivere.
E' necessario che ci metteremo in contatto con quei immigrati con figli e nipoti che stanno perdendo il loro retaggio
e cultura.E' necessario che ci mettiamo in contatto con gli studenti di lingua italiana cosi' potremo intensificare i
loro studi del nostro retaggio,cultura,tradizioni e usi,portando essi alla loro attenzione in una maniera personale,in
modo che non lasciamo nessuno che non potrebbe attendere incantevoli funzioni,(tante volte necessarie)che
sono offerte da altre entita' nel corso dell,anno nella nostra zona.In una piccola ma importante maniera "noi"
diventeremo le radici che mai saranno separate.e assicureremo in tal modo che il nostro retaggio mai perira'.
Con tutto il Vostro aiuto potremo lavorare assieme su progetti che specificatamente guideranno i nostri sforzi
direttamente alla realta' che " i nostri figli sono il nostro futuro ".
